DR Peter Hendy
Dr Peter Hendy obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2005 after previously completing an undergraduate bachelor degree in biomedical science. He undertook physician and advanced gastroenterology training at the Princess Alexandra and Mater Hospitals, Brisbane. After completing specialty training, he embarked on a clinical research fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, UK.
Dr Hendy has completed postgraduate studies in clinical education at Flinders University and holds a senior lecturer position at the University of QLD Medical School. He is actively involved in teaching medical students as well as physician and gastroenterology trainees in his concurrent staff specialist position at the Mater Hospital Brisbane.
Dr Hendy has an interest in the spectrum of general gastroenterological conditions including bowel cancer screening with a particular focus on Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. He consults privately at Mater Hill Gastroenterology, performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.
